Is it rude to rename the group chat without asking?

Guilty

The short answer

Renaming a group chat is fine for a trip or an occasion. Renaming it after one member's worst moment is not, and doing it four times is a campaign.

The ruling

From the public record. Names are replaced with roles.

How the court usually rules on this

The court considers a group chat name a shared space, like a sign on a door. Changes for a trip, a birthday or a season are normal and need no vote. Names that single out one member are allowed once, briefly, if the member laughs. Repeating the joke after being asked to stop moves it to a guilty verdict.
